Song of The Week: 40oz. On Repeat / Fidlar

The highly anticipated return of L.A. rockers FIDLAR began in January with a comeback show at L.A.’s The Regent, and now new track 40oz. On Repeat has crashed the party as the first track from the band’s forthcoming second album to be streamed.

40oz. On Repeat is a fantastically rowdy, surprisingly relatable anthem, with lyrics such as ‘I’m gonna lock myself inside my room with the television on repeat’ and ‘everybody’s got more money’ giving a nod to teens everywhere. The raucous chorus of ‘everybody’s got somebody, everybody but me’ will have you shouting along at the top of your lungs, making the track even catchier than it already is.

What’s more, the video for the track sees frontman Zac paying homage to a number of big names, from Jamiroquai to Britney Spears a la Hit Me Baby One More time – it’s a must see.

You can catch FIDLAR this summer at Download Festival in June or Reading and Leeds in August.
