Track Review: Your Coat / The Fontaines

With Tramlines Festival just around  the corner, Sheffield is once again proving itself as a haven for new music and now becoming the home of rocking up-and-comers The Fontaines. The four piece have recently shared their new single Your Coat, essentially a summer epitomising piece of joy.

Your Coat is delightfully upbeat and refreshing, with funky melodies from the start that are sure to put a smile on your face. The track also has an essence of raw simplicity, aided by the down to earth vocals and chorus about, remarkably, giving someone your coat.

In simple terms, the track is incredibly catchy and an instant mood booster with its , a feat somewhat difficult to achieve, thus acting as an indicator that the name The Fontaines is one that will become more and more familiar over a short period of time.
